Guiding Efficient Plant Operations

Drawing upon over two decades of experience at General Electric Company (GE), Miranda started NMM in 2018. His expert guidance fueled the company’s swift rise to prominence as a power plant maintenance powerhouse, renowned for its unparalleled dedication to excellence, innovation and client satisfaction. It attained GE accreditation in May 2021, opening up numerous opportunities across Asia and the Middle East.

Exhibiting a globally recognized standard of service, NMM is known for its commitment to personalized services. Recognizing that each power plant has unique operational requirements, the company aligns every project with the client’s strategic goals and functional needs. Whether it is a routine maintenance task, an upgrade or a new installation, experts work closely with clients to devise solutions that optimize plant performance and efficiency.

This team comprises freelance engineers from around the world, each a GE veteran with at least a decade’s worth of experience in various facets of power plant design. Their specialties may vary but typically include operations, maintenance, project management and development, life extension and performance enhancement.

This network of seasoned engineers ensures that each project is executed with unmatched precision and resourcefulness. Our Customers Come Back To Us Because We Are The Most Experienced People In This Business

Engineering Mastery in Action

Engineers are trained to prioritize repair and maintenance over replacement. Their expertise shines in aero-derivative engines, along with steam and gas turbines. Of note is their extensive experience in servicing heavy-duty gas turbines, which guarantees prolonged operation beyond their intended lifespan.

Through customized services like on-site machining and direct sourcing of required spare parts from GE, NMM demonstrates its ability to solve complex problems promptly and effectively. Not limited to GE machinery, the company proficiently handles equipment from Siemens, Alstom and other OEMs and demonstrates a knack for retrofitting existing machinery for optimized performance—a service that has consistently earned the trust of clients worldwide.

One example is a recent power plant installation project in Israel. Since Miranda had installed the same machinery for the client during his tenure at GE, he already had an in-depth understanding of the machinery. Based on the trust garnered over the years, NMM was selected as the client’s preferred maintenance services provider.

The contract entails annual maintenance services for the machinery, crucial for continued operational productivity and reliability of the power plant. During these scheduled maintenance periods, the client typically requests a 26-personnel maintenance team. Their work includes mechanical services like the inspection and servicing of gas turbines, as well as electrical services, which involve checking all switchgear and electrical controls to determine optimal functionality.

“Our customers come back to us because we are the most experienced people in this business,” says Miranda.

A Commitment to Operational Excellence

Based on experience, NMM emphasizes the importance of inventory management in ensuring a power plant’s smooth operation. Inadequate stocking of tools and maintenance supplies for the plant can result in repercussions for production, including escalated expenses, safety hazards and decreased productivity and profitability.

To surmount these challenges, the company employs the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology as a structured approach for problem-solving and process enhancement. Through this technique, NMM assists clients in streamlining inventory management and devising solutions that boost performance and minimize downtime.

Recognizing the significance of skilled and empowered personnel in driving successful inventory management, it also invests in comprehensive training programs. Employees are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and authority to manage and enhance the inventory process for clients, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.

Using a thorough assessment, they identify the root causes of inefficiencies plaguing the client’s system. A customer pull system verifies that production and orders are driven by actual demand rather than relying on historical or market data. This minimizes overstocking and optimizes inventory layout, strategically arranging items to reduce movement, space and time wastage.

A robust monitoring mechanism tracks and analyzes inventory metrics, facilitating informed decision-making and prompt corrective actions. This proactive approach assures that performance is monitored and improved, aligning with the organization’s commitment to operational excellence. NMM’s inventory management methodology reflects a holistic strategy, poised to optimize operations and deliver value to the company and its customers.

Keeping pace with the world’s evolving energy needs, it is not content with merely adapting to the future of power plant maintenance; it aims to actively shape it. The company is at the forefront of the sector’s evolution through its holistic approach and forward-thinking employment model.

Industry-proven knowledge, paired with innovative solutions and a client-centric approach, enables NMM to redefine the standards of excellence, upholding a commitment to ensure power plants operate with maximum efficiency, reliability and sustainability.
