EPCM contracting for long-term oil and gas, petrochemical, and energy projects, like building field oil and gas treatment plants, refineries, and petrochemical plants and designing maximum capacity plant revamps, requires skilled labor and fine-tuned project management. In these industries, project stages are highly fragmented, and working in silos presents a major challenge in terms of cost and productivity if there’s a lack of cross-team collaboration.

Broad-based industry experience equips Hytech, a multinational engineering company, to prepare detailed project execution plans for oil and gas, petrochemical, and energy industries and see those projects through to completion.

Hytech provides its EPCM services through alliances with leading construction companies. Depending on the size and scope of the projects, Hytech collaborates either as an engineering provider or as a provider of engineering and process equipment. It also has a dedicated procurement department that taps into its extensive knowledge of local and international suppliers to ensure the success of a project.

Seamless cross-team communication in the entire process is one of the biggest advantages that Hytech brings to the table. Its unified and collaborative project management expertise brings pre-project planning, workflow planning, maximal use of modularization, and accountability together to improve intraproject visibility. Maintaining transparency throughout the process ensures the initial project idea is preserved in the later stages of the process.

“We are not just selling engineering solutions. We are selling a promise to offer our clients the best project capabilities built around transparency and authenticity,” says Miguel Wegner, founder and CEO of Hytech, highlighting its core values. The company treats every client project as its own, taking every client’s objective into consideration and working together as partners.

Hytech’s conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering designs are highly customized to ensure greater equipment efficiency within a plant. Its network of reputable construction partners helps fulfill the robust quality, safety, and cost requirements of clients. Every commercially available piece of equipment selected for a plant is analyzed for its use and viability. In cases where offthe- shelf machinery cannot deliver on its purpose, Hytech custom-designs and manufactures internals (towers, gas-liquid and liquid-liquid separators, reactors, tanks, and hydrocyclones, to name a few) in-house.

How Hytech tackles the lack of skilled engineers in the domain is equally commendable. It handpicks young talent from colleges and upskills them in-house through an elaborate and continuous training process. This in-house training enables executives to immerse themselves into the company culture and make a contribution that helps them grow as individuals and drives organizational growth.

One of Hytech’s most challenging projects are revamps to increase plant capacity with minimum downtime and limited investment. Hytech offers solutions that don’t need major refurbishing. Even when considering that, after increasing capacity, bottlenecks will appear in existing equipment. Hytech´s well-planned test run is key to carefully rerating every piece of equipment, pipes, and control valves for the new conditions. In addition, Hytech offers the ultimate performance guarantee: the talent and experience to design and fabricate new internals that replaces existing ones without welding, which avoids the need of third-party providers whose understanding is limited because they are not involved in the whole project.

We are not just selling engineering solutions. We are selling a promise to offer our clients the best project capabilities built around transparency and authenticity

Examples of Hytech´s projects also include designing the pipe still and vacuum, gasoline reforming and isomerization, and diesel hydrogenation plants for a refinery that increased capacity from 90 to 130 kbpd and designing similar equipment for a new natural gas cryogenic plant processing 1.1 billion SCFTD.

As the world transitions to new power sources, energy companies’ approach, including traditional oil and gas companies, must change to produce efficient and sustainable process plants. Hytech makes this happen with the perfect blend of modern technologies and expert human capital. From early planning stages to project execution, the company guarantees the process for efficient and cost-effective ‘Hy-Tech’ plants.
