Its efforts included retrofitting existing fluorescent T8 and T12 fixtures with LED lamps, replacing compact fluorescent and incandescent lamps with EnergyStar LEDs and applying for utility incentives to offset project costs. The project encompassed common areas in the three buildings, including lobbies, mail rooms, elevators, restrooms, offices, roofs, hallways and exteriors. The modernizing of Maxwell Place’s lighting infrastructure contributed to its sustainability goals by reducing energy consumption and improving overall efficiency.
